About Doctor Safety
Doctor Safety is a global initiative that teaches children the importance of patient safety in a simple, empowering way.
Millions of people are harmed each year while receiving medical care, and many of these incidents are preventable. We believe safer healthcare begins with awareness, and awareness can start in childhood.
Through engaging books for children aged 6–12, Doctor Safety introduces essential safety lessons like speaking up, asking questions, and working together.
Doctor Safety is a collaborative initiative by the World Patients Alliance (WPA), Elsevier, and the Elsevier Foundation, working together to inspire a future where safer care is the norm — not the exception.
